Third Eye – Urnablog.com

The name of urna come upon seeking a name for this blog. I ‘m thinking to look at the life with love and wisdom. So, I try a much easier to remember term called thirdeye.wordpress.com, but it was taken. So I used some Buddhist term called Urna. Urna is a concave circular dot – manifested on the forehead between the eyebrows.

It is often found on the 2nd and 3rd Century sculptures of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas. Sometimes it is represented with a jewel.

Urna is the 31st physical characteristic of Buddha. It symbolizes and radiates wisdom. It is also a symbol for a third eye, which represents the power to emit a beam of light and illuminate the world.

My blogging topics will be on Buddhism, challanges of this century like global warming, climate change, natural disasters, water scarcity, food scarcity, debt based monetory system, etc.

I hope this blog could be like an urna, to radiate wisdom and love to the world.
