One of the great scholar and champion in resources productivity is Amory Lovins. He and his colleagues advocate that to stop the destruction of the planet, we need to exercise what is Factor of Four. The author estimate that a total of several trillions dollars was wastes every years. The waste occurs because there has been no consistents efforts to use our earth resources efficiently. Our industry source labour productivity and not resource productivity. This waste makes everyone poorer, damage our environments and create unrecoverable problems for our childrens future.

I was thinking the swine flu is spreading to every countries now. I wonder why there is no equipments setup to sense the virus and giving people the first hand alert ? The early detection will be crucial for authorities to identify affected flight before the passengers is released to the grounds.  That could help prevent further transmission to the population in the country.

With the advanced of current technology, it is possible to setup a swine flu detectors to detect the infected air and also possible to clean up the air by an vacuum machine to suck in the affected air and trap it with very refine filter of nanometers in diameters which smaller than the size of the virus.  Even possible to use UV lights to scan through the air that pass through the machine and killing those airborne virus.   Is this machine exist ?
