"Another reason for wheat crop reduce due to farmers in the US shift their fields from wheat to corn. The price of corn increase 53% due to demand for corn as feedstock and fuel grade ethanol. Will food production be able to cope with food consumption ?"

There is a very interesting article in this publication you must read. Just email them asking for their a newsletter subscriptionFlour Export Article

They deal with the very issue of food production versus consumption in the effort of making a better world.

Cheers,

Why our country still not banned the plastic bag ?
Many reasons to touch about, especially on the day political scenario which finally the gov. can not make it! can not deal with it.

Malaysia is a 3rd world class country that may stay behind economy prime mover (Singapore) for quit some time ...may be 10 yrs, or may be 40 yrs......unless gov. stop in 24hrs compromising with any individual issue - cronyism factor I think.

Like what we always heard recently 'the factory is belong to bla bla', 'that business is belong to that and dad'....'the manufacturer is xx grandfather and his late grandfather'....seems nobody can critics on it.

Now lets see further down; simple to Singaporean but its a sample for Malaysian people is chewing gum.

Singapore Administrator straight away can banned chewing gum because its negative impact showing more in their survey compare to any good effect. and the act comes with penalty for those chew the gum. Tremendously, that good act turn the Singaporean to very hygienic - 'clean' .....
After the serious action taken, Singapore economic relate to turmoil after the banned is only a dream and scared prediction, sure nothing happened to its import export businesses. many years after banned act gazetted!

If such a very simple thing also gov. can not set an action, so why plastic bag?

Anyway, I think our beloved gov. (that I give full support now) is trying to tackle on all environmental (serious) issues in the next few years.
Now it is the new era gov. where I think they will become an activist and not watcher (just call press and talk nonsense).

Last word, sanctioned comes from managerial level as Malaysian we will follow the leader's rule.

There are a lot of problems with climate because of the mankind and our activities. But there is the best climate in Munich for me. Why I want to move there (http://www.talkmunich.com/forum/general-discussion/why-did-you-move-to-munich)? The climate is one of the most important reasons to do this.
